It was cold, damp and wet when I packed up this morning.
With no toilet or showers, I was packed and across the highway to get a coffee, some breakfast and make use of the bathroom.
When I hit the road out of Lumsden, there was a strong headwind and it was still cool.
By noon it warmed up and the wind became a crosswind from the west.
Because of the chain, I was taking it easy going into Regina until I could get it fixed.

Miles of wheat fields and nothing else

Made it to Regina without any more problems with the chain.

Notice how the north of Regina is expanding into the wheat fields

I stopped at the first Tim Hortons I could find in Regina and sure enough, someone my age arrived and was carrying a bike helmet.
He told me which bike shop to go to and how to get there.
Western Cycle were able to check out my bike, put on a new chain and rear sprocket set and it seemed to solve the problem.
I will spend a rest day in Regina so I will be able to check it out before I leave town.

The new Heritage Centre. I will check it out tomorrow

I have booked a room for two nights at the Training Academy

I got one of cadets to take my picture in front of the Chapel

I just had to watch the noon parade

There have been a lot of changes over the years, but the noon parade is the same.

Now for the Great White North Geotour Regina
The first clue brought me to the Saskatchewan Hotel

The next clue gets more religious

The next clue brought me to the seat of government in Saskatchewan

A bronzee statue of the Queen on Burmese
I rode Burmese several times in 1965/66 during my training.
The horse was given to the Queen in 1969.

After several more clues, I found the cahe with the clue for the final in Otttawa

We lived in this place when I returned to Regina as an instructor in 1975

I built this house in 1976 and lived there until we left in 1978.
